Expected pay for this position is $36.04 - $42.40/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Compliance Specialist provides highly specialized expertise within the organization and works collaboratively with leadership, staff and other compliance officers and auditors to proactively consult and educate to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations for programs. When gaps are identified, the specialist partners with the responsible parties to create corrective actions plans that will ensure compliance going forward. This position will assist assigned areas of the Ministry in administering and monitoring the OSF Compliance Program in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Assists in updating policies as well as conducts investigations, summarizes evidence, and drafts reports. Position will represent Compliance Officers for internal department level meetings. May be assigned to support one or many compliance risk areas including, and not limited to research, privacy, accessibility, revenue cycle, and healthcare operations.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related discipline in a healthcare profession
Experience: 5 years of healthcare experience with 1 year being in compliance, audit, legal, quality or safety.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills, motivated, self-directed, able to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, achieve results, adapt readily to change, and work well as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and develop informative audit reports.
- Ability to review statutory, regulatory, and billing instruction language and apply it to operational compliance.
- Analytical abilities to understand and complete statistical analysis, sampling techniques and reporting methods preferred.
