Position Summary
The Academy Wellbeing Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing the club’s Residency program players, including but not limited to proctoring daily school periods and managing training requirements. The successful candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, attentiveness to evolving protocol, and experience with youth players and families. The role will report directly to the Academy Director and have regular interaction with Academy staff and key club stakeholders.

Duties And Responsibilities - School
- Determine which online schools we will partner with for the upcoming season
- Set up a meeting with parents to discuss online school options
- Determine the school calendar alongside the soccer season
- Create rules and expectations for the classroom
- Weekly school communication to students and families with updates
- Oversee and manage students in the classroom to ensure a safe, structured, and productive learning environment
- Maintain order and discipline by enforcing behavioral policies and procedures
- Support students in understanding and completing their online assignments and projects
- Work closely and collaboratively with Academy education staff
- Encourage students to stay on task and manage their time effectively during learning sessions
- Help maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and any incidents that occur in the classroom
- Offer emotional support to students in their academic and athletic pursuits
- Identify students who may be struggling and coordinate with online instructors to provide additional support
- Associate degree
- Experience working with high school students
- Availability to work from 8:00am to 4:00pm, M - F
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S without sponsorship
- The selected candidate must pass background checks
- Strong work ethic, incredible attention to detail and great pride and precision in your work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Works well within in a collaborative, team-driven, and goal-based environment
- Works well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Must be a team player, reliable, and dependable with a can-do attitude
- Must maintain complete confidentiality of privileged, and/or sensitive information
- Must, always, display the character and values of D.C. United
- The ability to prioritize workload to manage time and tasks
- This position operates in a professional office and classroom setting
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., as necessary
- Ability to remain standing/walking for up to 4 hours
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to remain sitting for up to 4 hours at a desk and computer
- Must be able to write, type and use phone system
- Sitting at a desk and computer for long periods of time
