What You'll Do
The Brewery Production Superintendent plays a critical leadership role on the Boochcraft team. This first-line leader is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of our beverages. Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, this role drives production goals while fostering a culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and a deep commitment to GMP and food safety standards.
This position requires adaptability, quick problem-solving, and a hands-on leadership style that motivates others. As the first point of contact for operational challenges and employee support, this supervisor ensures seamless day-to-day execution, product integrity, and team engagement.

This job description is not all-inclusive. The Brewery Production Supervisor may be required to perform other tasks reasonably related to their role as assigned by the Director of Operations or designated leadership.
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
Education
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in beverage or food manufacturing. Experience with HACCP, GMPs, and quality regulatory systems preferred. Familiarity with SQF or GFSI standards a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
Able to lift up to 50 lbs routinely, and occasionally up to 100 lbs. assisted Regular physical activity including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods. Ability to safely handle chemicals and wear PPE. Must be available to work varied shifts including weekends and overnights.
This position pays between $80 – 90k

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Uphold Boochcraft’s values and represent the brand with integrity, enthusiasm, and confidence.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop production staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Train team members on SOPs, safety protocols, and equipment use.
- Provide clear direction, timely feedback, and recognition to drive engagement and performance.
- Develop and support individual development plans and cross-training initiatives.
- Execute and maintain production schedules to meet demand while maximizing efficiency.
- Monitor daily throughput, yields, labor usage, and material consumption.
- Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions in real-time.
- Lead shift start-up, shutdown, and daily communication routines to ensure alignment.
- Ensure that facility start-up and shut-down procedures are followed for safety and sanitation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase output, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
- Use root cause analysis to address recurring issues and establish sustainable solutions.
- Lead improvement activities and empower team members to participate in problem-solving initiatives.
- Regularly analyze and act on KPI trends (e.g., Efficiency, WIP, downtime, loss yields, CE/hour).
- Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Champion a safety-first culture through behavior modeling, coaching, and consistent enforcement.
- Ensure adherence to GMPs and company quality systems across all activities.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain quality control data throughout production and packaging.
- Review finished product and packaging quality (cans, kegs) and coordinate root cause investigations as needed.
- Perform and/or oversee analytical tests: pH, ABV, DO, CO2, gravity, seam integrity, etc.
- Maintain proper cleaning, sanitation, and documentation for equipment and facility.
- Manage labor and timekeeping systems including scheduling, timesheet approval, and attendance.
- Ensure payroll hours are submitted accurately and timely.
- Prepare and deliver production reports, shift summaries, and improvement updates.
- Support facility upkeep and preventive maintenance coordination to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Execute production tasks (CIP, brewing, transfers, kegging, etc.) as needed to support operations.

- Proficiency in production scheduling, KPI monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM
- Comfortable using digital tools for data entry, tracking, and communication.
- Forklift certified (or willing to become certified).
