About The Company

We are a growing and well-established company in the construction industry, seeking an experienced and detail-driven Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CFO, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing daily accounting functions, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

We’re looking for a proactive and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of core accounting processes while supporting the broader financial strategy of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare internal financial reports and assist in the preparation of external reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll entries, accruals, and reporting.
• Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices within the accounting function.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff and support ongoing team development.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.
• Background in construction, manufacturing, or distribution industries preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting and GAAP compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
