Description
The Project Manager serves as the primary lead for the NSF TechXccelerator Program Support Activities contract, responsible for overall project coordination, team management, and stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager will oversee all programmatic support activities for the NSF Convergence Accelerator (soon to be renamed TechXccelerator), ensuring seamless delivery of curriculum operations, communication support, and administrative functions. This role requires expertise in managing complex federal contracts, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and supporting innovation-focused educational programs. The Project Manager will work directly with NSF federal staff, program directors, and external stakeholders to ensure program objectives are met within scope, timeline, and budget parameters.
This is a remote position with occasional travel to NSF headquarters in Alexandria, VA and program-related events.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead contract kickoff meetings and maintain ongoing communication with NSF federal staff
- Develop and execute project plans for all statement of work tasks
- Manage project team including deputy, communications specialists, operations specialists, and designers
- Coordinate bi-monthly and monthly reporting to NSF including progress reports and financial tracking
- Oversee curriculum systems management including Canvas, Box, and Slack platforms
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes for NSF-awarded teams and Anchor entities
- Manage master record systems and team roster maintenance
- Coordinate with coaching teams and external facilitators
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations including Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all program operations
- Manage travel coordination and reporting requirements
- Oversee conflict of interest management and transition planning
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
- Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
- Have applied experience managing federal contracts and working with government agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Experience with curriculum development and educational program management
- Knowledge of innovation ecosystems, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
- Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively
- Candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's Degree or higher and 8+ years of related project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- Other relevant project management certifications preferred
