SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst to support our bank's implementation and adoption of a third-party platform that measures transactional and relationship pricing & profitability. This role is critical in supporting the Product Owner by ensuring accurate reporting, driving user adoption, resolving platform-related issues, and maintaining the integrity of financial assumptions within the tool. In addition to these responsibilities, this role will also support broader departmental initiatives, providing insights and analysis that contribute to overall strategic financial planning and decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for leveraging financial data to drive decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

  • Develop, generate and distribute regular and ad hoc reports on relationship profitability using vendor and BankUnited data.
  • Provide standard periodic reporting and maintain process documentation for all relevant reports.
  • Create dashboarding and key metrics to track profitability across Lines of Business.
  • Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders across Corporate Finance and the Lines of Business.
  • Update and validate financial assumptions (e.g., funding curves, cost of capital, pricing parameters) used for pricing and measuring profitability.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and configuration changes.
  • Monitor usage metrics and identify opportunities to increase adoption and effectiveness of the profitability tool.
  • Collaborate with Lines of Business & Corporate Finance to ensure profitability insights are aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards by implementing validation checks and reconciliation processes.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions or materials to onboard new users and improve application adoption.
  • Create user guides and FAQs to support self-service and reduce support requests.
  • Support treasury-related analysis which informs funding & liquidity management, interest rate risk management and the securities portfolio.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for senior management and regulatory purposes.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation around reporting processes including data sources and inputs.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR Business, Finance, Management Information Systems or related fields from an accredited institution required.

Experience

  • 3+ Years of related experience and/or training, particularly in a technology or financial discipline required.
  • Experience with FTP (Funds Transfer Pricing) or bank profitability models preferred.
  • Experience with statistical modeling or econometric modeling including data management, model development, and interpreting and presenting results preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and ability to clearly communicate.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling/programming languages such as Python preferred.
  • Understanding of relational databases and querying languages (SQL) preferred.
  • Willingness to learn new analysis, querying, and data visualization programs required.
