Salary: $70,000 - $75,000/Annually. The final pay for this position will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to what the company reasonably anticipates for this position.

Position Summary

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing all needed Purchasing support to internal stakeholders to keep the business running and to ensure an effective and seamless end to end purchasing cycle.

This role also requires some data analysis capabilities to support the end-to-end source to pay cycle to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review all purchase requisitions for accuracy and compliance with the Procurement policy and guidelines.
  • Supports the day to day purchasing activities to ensure smooth running of operations at the plant
  • Generate purchase orders manually or automatically after full approval to send to the relevant vendor
  • Clearly communicate the approval status of all requisitions to stakeholders and facilitate communication between stakeholders, vendors and the entire procurement team.
  • Manage the PR to Pay life cycle after PR approval which typically includes following up with vendors for PO receipt confirmation, completing goods receipts and invoice discrepancy reconciliations
  • Subject matter expert of all purchasing processes and guidelines of the company and must be comfortable enforcing those guidelines where needed
  • Provide world class customer service and support to both internal and external stakeholders who are all part of the purchasing process
  • Working very well with people with diverse backgrounds and experiences and easily find a common ground and ways of working together effectively to achieve common goals
  • Review, analyze, and maintain records of contract terms, conditions, and pricing agreements in GEP
  • Properly create, maintain and update all vendor master data according to our Global master data policy.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities align with procurement policies and meet legal/ethical standards.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure proper validation and timely payment of vendor invoices. .
  • Work closely with the local strategic procurement partner as well as other procurement team members across the region to deliver spend optimization and other relevant procurement goals
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years working in a professional/corporate work environment or formal education in a post high school educational program
  • 2+ years of experience working with MS office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience participating in negotiating agreements and contracts with strong comprehension of legal and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment using industry accepted purchasing best practices
  • Intermediate level knowledge and abilities in end-to-end strategic procurement functions.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills
  • Challenges the status quo and confident leading and driving enterprise change initiatives.
