We are seeking a Director of Infrastructure who will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure a secure, reliable, and scalable technology environment that supports business operations, regulatory compliance, and future growth. This role is critical in guiding the organization through its post-divestiture technology transformation, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring alignment with business objectives in a fast-paced med-tech environment.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the infrastructure roadmap to align with corporate strategy, scalability goals, and post-divestiture separation requirements.
- Partner with executive leadership to define technology priorities that support business continuity, innovation, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee cloud migration strategies and the transition from shared or inherited systems to standalone infrastructure.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement, ensuring the company remains modernized and forward-looking (e.g., automation, AI-enabled infrastructure, advanced collaboration platforms).
Infrastructure Management
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, storage, cloud platforms, and end-user computing.
- Develop the strategy and oversee operations for high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and robust business continuity plans.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for infrastructure and managed services.
- Oversee global end-user services, including help desk, desktop support, collaboration tools (M365/Teams), and device lifecycle management.
- Establish service-level agreements (SLAs), metrics, and reporting for end-user support and ensure a high-quality employee experience.
- Ensure accurate and current documentation of infrastructure and end-user service processes, knowledge bases, and escalation procedures.
- Develop and deliver reports on infrastructure and end-user service health, compliance, and performance metrics.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders across the business to drive cross-functional solutions aligned with strategic goals.
Security & Compliance
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to define the strategy around security controls, network segmentation, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Ensure infrastructure meets applicable med-tech industry regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, HIPAA).
- Oversee regular security audits, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a high-performing infrastructure team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define team structure, roles, and succession planning for evolving business needs.
- Establish and track performance metrics to drive operational excellence
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Master’s Degree is preferred (MBA or MS in Information Systems / Technology Management)
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including at least 5 years in a global leadership role.
- Proven track record designing, building, and managing enterprise infrastructure in regulated industries (medical devices, pharma, or life sciences preferred).
- Demonstrated success leading infrastructure transformations during carve-outs, TSA exits, or mergers, with ability to design standalone IT environments from the ground up.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/hybrid), networking, virtualization, enterprise storage, and end-user services (Help Desk, collaboration tools, device management).
- Experience managing lean global teams and leveraging MSPs/strategic partners to deliver scalable services.
- Deep understanding of ITIL service management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and drive cost optimization.
- Strong orientation toward innovation, automation, and continuous improvement (AI/ML-enabled infrastructure, zero-touch provisioning, advanced monitoring).

- Occasional travel to company site and vendor locations may be required.

Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performance taken into account. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors, including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
