Job Type: Full-Time | First Shift

Pay Rate: $20–$30+/hour (Depending on Experience)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Precision Machinist to join a fast-paced manufacturing team specializing in precision sheet metal fabrication. This role involves operating manual mills, lathes, and a variety of shop equipment to produce accurate parts made from steel, aluminum, and plastics. The ideal candidate thrives in a production environment and demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and GD&T drawings to plan machining work
• Set up and operate manual mills and lathes, adjusting tools and attachments as needed
• Use equipment such as drill presses, wet saws, belt sanders, and hydraulic presses
• Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other tools
• Monitor machining operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate equipment repairs
• Manage inventory of materials and tools; anticipate needs and track usage
  
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of machining experience
• Proficiency with manual mills and lathes
• Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
• Understanding of intermediate math (geometry, trigonometry)
• Experience with quality control processes such as First Article and PPAP
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active role
• Detail-oriented with solid tool management knowledge
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in sheet metal manufacturing
• CNC machining or G-code programming/editing
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards
• Supply chain and inventory control experience
