This position plays a critical role in helping us deliver quality residential construction projects by accurately forecasting costs, preparing bids, and coordinating with our sales and project teams. Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and trade partners to ensure all project scopes are fully captured.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids, materials pricing, and labor requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
• Update estimating databases and cost histories for future accuracy.
• Assist in project handoff meetings to support smooth transitions to field teams.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and ensure all estimating tasks align with project goals and timelines.
• Represent American Central Corp professionally with trade partners, vendors, and clients.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in residential construction or related fields.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, specs, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Buildertrend, PlanSwift, or similar).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• High school diploma or GED required; construction-related degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to attend site visits or meetings as needed.
