Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and trade partners to ensure all project scopes are fully captured.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids, materials pricing, and labor requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
- Update estimating databases and cost histories for future accuracy.
- Assist in project handoff meetings to support smooth transitions to field teams.
- Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and ensure all estimating tasks align with project goals and timelines.
- Represent American Central Corp professionally with trade partners, vendors, and clients.
- 3+ years of estimating experience in residential construction or related fields.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, specs, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Buildertrend, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED required; construction-related degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to attend site visits or meetings as needed.
- Weekly pay cycle
