GCB Building Group is looking for an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee the execution of high-end residential and light commercial construction projects from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, schedules, subcontractors, and quality control. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost-effective project plans and schedules.
• Oversee all field operations including subcontractor performance and site personnel.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, documents, and specifications.
• Monitor and track construction progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Report progress and any plan modifications to ownership and design teams.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and contribute to contract development.
• Lead site logistics planning, safety program implementation, and quality control.
• Direct project close-out procedures, including punch list completion and client turnover.
• Maintain high standards of site cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Confirm accuracy of site conditions versus architectural plans.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and subcontractor schedules with Project Manager.
• Maintain and post the job schedule; communicate any delays or issues promptly.
• Ensure all documentation-including Daily Reports, RFIs, and Weekly Reports-is accurate and timely.
• Supervise residential and/or commercial projects based on company needs.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, clients, inspectors, architects, and engineers.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven success managing job sites, subcontractors, schedules, and budgets.
• Strong understanding of field implementation of safety and quality protocols.
• Proficient at interpreting plans and verifying on-site dimensions and layouts.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Experience in both residential and commercial construction projects is a plus.
• Ability to solve problems proactively and maintain professionalism on-site.
• Comfortable using field documentation and reporting systems.
