Director of Operations involves first and foremost providing a safe work environment for team members, enforcement of good manufacturing and food safety practices. This position oversees the company’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. It also involves developing and implementing operational plans, finite scheduling, analysis of performance metrics and budget management.
Pay Range: $120,000 - $135,000/year + bonus
Hours: 5:00pm-5:00am (Night shift)
Schedule: Monday - Friday (1 weekend rotation per month)
Location: Fresno, CA
Travel Requirements: N/A
Work Environment: Production/Office

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operational Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute operational plans, scheduling, strategies and procedures to support business objectives, growth and innovation.
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day activities across various departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Track key performance indicators and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement, scrap and yield as examples, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Budget Management and Cost Optimization: Manage operational budgets, forecast expenses, and implement cost saving measures.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the team, provide guidance, training and support to achieve operational goals.
- Environmental Focus: Be a steward of sustainable manufacturing, focusing on waste reduction, energy conservation and water conservation.
- Staff Management: Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations of operational staff.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other department heads and senior management to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Preference given to proven Lean, Six Sigma, TPM leaders delivering measurable improvements
- Strong financial acumen and analytical ability
- Project management skills
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and be a change agent.
- Excellent communication skills and able to work with and interact with all levels of the organization
- Self-starter with strong leadership skills and a high degree of integrity.
- Strong planning, organizing and time management skills.
- Capable of learning, leading and sponsoring a data-oriented environment with an emphasis on statistics, SPC, and data analysis.
- Continuous improvement demonstrated competencies including Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or other CI methodologies (i.e., Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, etc.)
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, Industrial engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role
- 5+ years of professional leadership in Continuous Improvement
- Advanced degree preferred
