Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

The Social Impact Intern is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the Office of Social Impact & Inclusion (OSII) at Panasonic Corporation of North America. You will join an exciting team that is building out Panasonic’s social impact strategy across its North American business footprint.

Communications:

• Collaborate closely with the Communications team to craft and share compelling content that highlights employee volunteerism and CSR impact across multiple platforms.
• Support the OSII internal and external communications strategy by creating updates, engaging community members, and publishing content that reflects our mission and values.
• Design promotional materials and event collateral to ensure consistent and vibrant messaging.
  
  

Research And Data:

• Perform research and analysis on corporate social responsibility best practices as it relates to employee volunteerism, social impact, and philanthropic initiatives.
• Prepare research briefs on special projects, evaluation tools, and other areas of interest, as needed
• Develop plan to introduce new Panasonic employees to OSIIs CSR efforts and strategy
• Manage databases and run analysis on key social impact metrics for quarterly reports
  
  

Programmatic:

• Assist in implementing employee volunteer programs and community outreach events.
• Attend volunteer/community outreach events and support set up and execution, as needed.
  
  

Finance & Administrative:

• Assist with monthly budget reconciliation and invoice processing
• Assist with correspondence to external partners regarding their grant/sponsorship applications
• Prepare for meetings with internal/external stakeholders including taking meeting notes
• Maintain product inventory for contributions to strategic partners
• Perform other administrative tasks, as needed
  
  

Ad Hoc Projects:

• Engage in special projects that may arise based on emerging needs or opportunities within the OSII.
• Adapt to shifting priorities by providing support for unplanned initiatives that contribute to the overall goals of the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute tasks efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
  
  

Program Requirement(s):

• This internship will start mid/early September
• Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree throughout the entirety of the internship.
  
  

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:

• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program with a minimum of 1-2 years of college completed
• Strong analytical skills with fluency in Excel and experience processing and analyzing data
• Previous experience working in a professional office setting
• Fluent in PowerPoint and Word applications
• Graphic and presentation skills, including Photoshop and/or Canva, a plus

Communications:

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive individual and company data without exception.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
• Ability to interact with senior leaders at Panasonic and external partners
  
  

Other Requirements:

• 15-20 hours per week during the academic year
• Preferably a year-long commitment
