About the Job
The Dairy Applications Research & Deployment Scientist conducts experiments and supports projects focused on developing and refining ingredient applications. This role works closely with R&D and Technical Services to translate scientific concepts into practical, customer-relevant solutions, contributing to the delivery of innovative and high-performing products.
Accountabilities

The salary range for this position is: $55,000 - $81,000.

Accountabilities
- Conduct experiments within the team to evaluate and optimize ingredient performance in various applications, reporting findings to support project outcomes.
- Analyse data to draw insights on ingredient behavior, interactions and functionality to impact decision-making within the team and improve applications development.
- Collaborate with Technical Service teams to translate customer needs into practical ingredient solutions.
- Document research findings and assist with team with preparing technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to projects aimed at expanding the understanding of ingredient combinations and their applications, supporting the resolution of common problems and expanding team capabilities.
- Support the development of prototypes and trials for customized ingredients and products, strictly following health and safety procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; may be working towards a professional qualification.
- Developing knowledge of methodologies, processes, practices, and common issues of applications research and development within the food and beverage industry.
- Able to convey straightforward technical and non-technical information to audiences that generally understand the subject matter. Communication is normally within the team and closely related teams.
- Primarily focuses on providing support to the team.
- Able to work under general supervision, with some guidance from a competent professional or manager needed from time to time.
