Salary: $60,000

Catholic Charities, Building Hope- Esperanza Center is currently seeking a Supervising Case Manager to provide leadership and oversight for program staff, ensuring effective service delivery through supervision, training, and performance management. The role includes managing a caseload, supporting clients with referrals and advocacy, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with funder and Agency requirements.

Building Hope Dundalk Support Center is dedicated to serving the residents in Dundalk, Essex, Bayview and neighboring towns, connecting the community with essential resources and supporting individuals’ journeys towards independence.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:30pm 37.5 hours per week

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages program staff through effective hiring, orientation, training, supervision, coaching, performance evaluation, and ongoing feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversees all case management operations, ensuring accurate documentation, regular case plan reviews, and compliance with record-keeping standards to support client outcomes.
  • Delivers direct services and support, including managing a caseload, providing referrals, and advocating client access to appropriate community resources.
  • Collaborates with Case Managers to develop and maintain up-to-date resource lists for health, mental health, substance use, education, and job training opportunities.
  • Professionally competent in Spanish and English required, both verbal and written, offering effective communication across diverse populations.
  • Dependent on specific funder requirements, provide case management services to a particular client population that may or may not include unaccompanied immigrant children, speakers of a particular language group or groups, immigrant survivors of crime, torture, or other trauma, immigrant and/or non-immigrant residents of a particular zip code or county, or other target populations.
  • Interfaces with community partners, including availability to attend pre-scheduled partner or funder meetings offsite.
  • Coordinates service referral processes with other programs of Esperanza Center and Catholic Charities and performs client recruitment as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of related experience, of which 2 years were in a supervisory capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, verbal and written communication, and the ability to influence, engage, and supervise staff.
  • Composure and professionalism, with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and act with discretion.
  • Extensive knowledge of case management, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning abilities, including task prioritization and appropriate delegation.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support effective decision-making.
  • Requires proficiency in using computer systems and software to perform job function, including but not limited to, basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e., Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive is preferred.

  • Positioning oneself in ways to accomplish tasks in various environments, including navigating tight or confined spaces as needed to complete job responsibilities.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, which may involve standing or sitting for extended periods, as required to complete tasks or duties associated with the role.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or transitioning between different work sites, which may involve walking, standing, or traveling to various locations as required by the role.
  • Engaging in communication with others to exchange information, which may involve speaking, listening, writing, or using electronic communication methods to ensure clear and effective understanding. This includes both verbal and non-verbal interactions with colleagues, clients, or external parties.
  • Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, including tasks such as typing, data entry, or handling small objects. These repetitive activities may occur throughout the workday and require attention to ergonomics to ensure comfort and minimize strain.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and completeness of assigned work to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to established guidelines.
  • Hearing and vision abilities, with or without correction, sufficient to drive safely and effectively observe and communicate with others.
