WHAT YOU WILL DO
Band Development & Training
- Lead and facilitate Band Workshops for staff at all campuses.
- Help develop musicians across Lake Forest and campuses to strengthen skill, confidence, and unity.
- Create underscore and produce music for weekend video content.
- Build and produce new worship arrangements with creativity and a focus on musical excellence and congregational accessibility.
- Create and edit multitrack arrangements for Lake Forest weekend services using Ableton, Playback, or similar tools.
- Ideally have skills to serve primarily as a drummer at Lake Forest, while offering flexibility across other instruments as needed.
- Contribute to the overall musical culture and execution of Saddleback’s worship services.
- Serve as the All-Campus Equipment Coordinator, helping manage and maintain musical gear for all locations
- Ensure equipment is functional, organized, and ready for use at events and services
- Be a point of contact for campus worship leaders and bandleaders on the weekends
- Help troubleshoot live music issues, track needs, or last-minute changes (MD-level problem solving)
- A minimum of 5 years serving on a worship team as a music director is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
- Musical production - knowledge on how to produce and track both live as well as in studio
- High-level proficiency on drums and at least one other instrument is preferred
- Music production and arranging experience (Logic, Ableton, Playback, etc.)
- Strong relational and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
- Passion for the local church and a heart for equipping others
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative ministry environment
