The senior master production scheduler is a critical role with responsible for creating, maintaining, driving and communicating the master production schedule for a product line and coordinating the capacity, and production activities to support new product introductions (NPIs). This associate must have experience in coordinating production by putting together an achievable, measurable and executable schedule and sequencing jobs for assembly to meet customer expectations while optimizing capacity and minimizing finished goods and component inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the master planner for assigned product lines, ensuring alignment across departments to meet production goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, work orders, and material plans based on lead times and manufacturing sequences.
  • Lead daily/ weekly planning meetings, presenting updated master production schedules and making the necessary adjustments to keep the plan accurate and updated providing clear production plans to cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate demand, supply, and production plans to support new product launches.
  • Monitor and expedite materials, resolve scheduling conflicts, and adjust plans to meet delivery requirements. Establish/define and monitor inventory targets for all make items.
  • Implement continuous improvement opportunities to planning processes and system solutions that support the supply chain stakeholders.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to assess capacity, labor, and inventory impacts.
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor open POs, and support invoice/payment tracking.
  • Support warehouse organization, cycle counts, and material review processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by integrating best practices and supporting KPI tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding specifications and timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent needed
  • CPIM, CSCP APICS certifications are preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years' experience in factory scheduling, production planning and S&OP
  • Experience Forecasting demand, and reporting inventory control goals and initiatives
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Proven experience and understanding of supply chain planning processes, MPS/MRP/CRP,
  • Experience working with ERP integrated systems – Oracle and Kinaxis (RR)knowledge is a plus
  • Expert with Microsoft Office Applications (EXCEL, OUTLOOK, TEAMS, WORD, POWERPOINT)
  • Able to coach and mentor Planners and Sr Planners
  • Experience and knowledge with ISO 13485 is preferred
  • Experience in the medical device contract manufacturing or other regulated industry (Aerospace, automotive, electronic)

Skills

  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite specifically, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Able to identify and troubleshoot system issues
  • Able to train Planners and Sr Planners in correct system usage and concepts
  • Able to be site lead for system integrations
  • Uses IQR dashboard to identify and execute inventory opportunities

We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $120k-$150k. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law
