Key Responsibilities
The Sr. Chemist will have a proven track record in chemical production and innovation. Responsibilities will evolve as the company grows, but some key duties include:
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field is a requirement. An Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. The successful Controller candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications:
The Sr. Chemist will have a proven track record in chemical production and innovation. Responsibilities will evolve as the company grows, but some key duties include:
- Chemical Production Oversight:
- Lead and manage the chemical production processes for completions/cementing and injection chemicals.
- Ensure the consistent quality and performance of chemical products.
- Innovation and Development:
- Develop new chemical formulations and processes to enhance product effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to create new products in the production sector that will enable company to grow in the space.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to improve product offerings.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Able to work independently, and act as a leader for the organization.
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of chemical products into overall company operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other teams as needed.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement processes to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field is a requirement. The successful Controller candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in chemical production, specifically in the oilfield services sector.
- Demonstrated history of innovation and successful implementation of new chemical processes.
- Experience managing and leading technical teams.
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Attributes:
- Self-motivated and driven with a strong sense of initiative.
- High level of integrity and strong moral character.
