Key Responsibilities

The Sr. Chemist will have a proven track record in chemical production and innovation. Responsibilities will evolve as the company grows, but some key duties include:

• Chemical Production Oversight:

• Lead and manage the chemical production processes for completions/cementing and injection chemicals.
• Ensure the consistent quality and performance of chemical products.
• Innovation and Development:

• Develop new chemical formulations and processes to enhance product effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to create new products in the production sector that will enable company to grow in the space.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to improve product offerings.
• Team Leadership and Development:

• Able to work independently, and act as a leader for the organization.
• Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
• Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of chemical products into overall company operations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other teams as needed.
• Operational Efficiency:

• Develop and implement processes to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  
  

Candidate Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field is a requirement. An Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. The successful Controller candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications:

• Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in chemical production, specifically in the oilfield services sector.
• Demonstrated history of innovation and successful implementation of new chemical processes.
• Experience managing and leading technical teams.

• Skills:

• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Attributes:

• Self-motivated and driven with a strong sense of initiative.
