We are seeking a world-class, hands on leader to serve as Manager of Project Management, driving the development and optimization of Customer Experience through transformative leadership in communication, scheduling, and capacity planning systems. The successful candidate will be eager to dig in at the front line, seamlessly blend long term planning and tactical execution, with a focus on delivering meaningful progress daily. Operating within a high-mix manufacturing environment, this role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination of production resources across our Electrical-Mechanical Assembly and Sheet Metal facilities. You will lead strategic initiatives that merge digital innovation, lean manufacturing practices, and cross-functional excellence to achieve scalable, high-performance growth.

Key Responsibilities - World-Class Leadership & Team Development

  • Inspire, lead, and develop a high-impact team of project managers, planners, and technical program managers focused on production systems and scheduling.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, establishing the team as a center of excellence within the organization.
  • Champion professional development, provide clear performance expectations, and implement scalable team structures to support strategic growth.
  • Model exceptional leadership and strategic thinking in driving project outcomes, risk mitigation, and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Strategic Scheduling & Capacity Optimization

  • Architect and execute advanced scheduling frameworks that optimize capacity across fabrication and assembly operations.
  • Drive ERP and planning tool integration to deliver real-time visibility into material availability, machine uptime, and workforce capacity.
  • Spearhead automation initiatives that eliminate manual processes and unlock throughput improvements.

Production Planning & Resource Allocation

  • Develop robust forecasting tools for shop load, labor capacity, and materials, ensuring proactive responses to demand fluctuations.
  • Balance tactical scheduling with long-term strategic planning to support new product introductions and process enhancements.
  • Govern make/buy decisions and external supplier coordination during constrained capacity scenarios.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner seamlessly with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain leaders to synchronize delivery goals and resolve constraints.
  • Works with Sales Team in a highly collaborative way to ensure lead times and production is communicated effectively to customers from the quote through the job lifecycle.
  • Lead cross-functional readiness for new programs, engineering changes, and high-variability orders.
  • Provide executive-level insights on delivery risks, trade-offs, and resource alignment to drive decision-making.

Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and maintain KPI dashboards to track equipment efficiency, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization.
  • Leverage root cause analysis and predictive modeling to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Present data-driven investment proposals for tooling, capital, and staffing to executive stakeholders.

Qualifications - Required

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, operations planning, or production systems; minimum 3 years in a strategic leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in manufacturing scheduling and capacity planning, with demonstrated success leading high-performing project teams.
  • In-depth understanding of sheet metal fabrication workflows.
  • Strong command of ERP systems, data analytics, and planning tools.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing high-mix, high-complexity production environments.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles, theory of constraints, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Systems, or a related field
