Financial Operations Analyst

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Financial Operations Analyst and this person will report into the Financial Business Partner within the Life Accident & Health business unit. The ideal candidate can work at our North America HQ in Schaumburg, IL OR remotely for the right candidate.

The team is looking for an individual with investment accounting or life insurance separate accounts, variable product experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in mutual fund investment accounting, or life insurance separate account operations and financial reporting. This person will work closely with internal teams – operations, treasury, financial accounting and reporting, as well as external policy administrators, fund managers and custodians.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and no prior experience in the Accounting or Finance area OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Accounting or Finance area AND
• Knowledge of accounting or finance principles
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with investment reporting or mutual fund accounting
• Experience with life insurance accounting and financial reporting, statutory reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with SAP
• Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel

We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $53,400.00 - $87,500.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
