Duties And Responsibilities

• Receiving of materials and products utilizing outlined processes.
• Maintain procedures, work instructions and policies as required by area of responsibility as assigned.
• Mentor Program Participants on work tasks and provide feedback as necessary.
• Support all stakeholders of Orion team fully to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals and objectives.
• Participate in team and company meetings as required.
• Role model proper work ethics and behaviors.
• Role model proper hygiene and appropriate work attire.
• Process workflow by verifying quality requirements and specifications within delivery schedule (Daily or as needed)
• Verify first part of production for conformance utilizing pertaining specifications, drawings, and customer workmanship standards.
• Perform First Article Inspections of initial production runs per requirements.
• Ensure quality standards are met throughout production runs.
• Check quality of material upon arrival to shop and departure from shop.
• Verify specifications concerning products upon arrival used for product.
• Verify all process specifications concerning product.
• Maintain Nonconformance records and reports.
• Complete Orion’s Quality System required reports and forms.
• Interface with customer representatives for evaluation of nonconforming
  
  

Requirements

• Quality assurance experience or knowledge of manufacturing utilizing various machines and processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Receiving experience utilizing various packing, picking, and shipping processes.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Demonstrated basic math skills.
• Possess or acquire tools needed to accomplish work objective.
• Organizational ability and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collectively.
• Customer service skills; able to relate well to all internal and external customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English.
  
  

Wage Range

The pay range for this role considers several factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs.

• Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and pulling of 15 pounds. Maximum lift, carry or pull of 50 pounds. Objects that are heavier than 40 pounds require a team lift. Seek assistance if an object is heavy or awkward to lift, push or pull independently.
• Consistent exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses.
• Consistent exposure to excess noise levels, occasionally necessitating the use of Hearing Protection.
