SHINE Technologies is seeking a Senior Radiochemist who will lead the design, execution, and analysis of experiments supporting medical isotope production and purification and used nuclear fuel (UNF) recycling. This role plays a critical part in advancing radiochemical processes and ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 -$120,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties And Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities of the Senior Radiochemist include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and execute experiments for isotope production and used nuclear fuel (UNF) recycling, applying techniques such as column chromatography, solvent extraction, and crystallization.
- Ensure safe handling of radiological materials in compliance with ALARA principles.
- Maintain and calibrate key analytical and radioanalytical instruments including ICP-MS, HPGe, LSC, a/ß spectrometry, and XRD.
- Contribute to innovative research by drafting proposals for funding opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Demonstrated experience handling radioactive materials and operating radioanalytical instrumentation.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a radiological laboratory environment.
- Prior work with UNF and expertise in separation science (e.g., solvent extraction, chromatographic separation) strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing technical proposals.
