Who We Are Looking For
We're searching for a highly driven, detail-oriented, and experienced commercial construction expert, with a strong focus on tenant improvements, who possesses the entrepreneurial spirit to lead and significantly grow this services business. This role requires a hands-on approach to strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership.
Essential Qualifications
- Industry Leadership: 10+ years of comprehensive experience in the commercial construction industry, with a primary focus on tenant improvement projects, and a proven track record of managing and delivering successful outcomes.
- Operational Excellence: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with all aspects of tenant improvement projects, including estimating, construction management, project bidding, scheduling, budget control, subcontractor coordination, and quality assurance.
- Business Development Acumen: Demonstrated success in client relationship management, securing new commercial tenant improvement projects, contract negotiation, and a strong ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading and motivating construction teams and effectively managing relationships with subcontractors, fostering a productive work environment, and ensuring project success.
- Financial & Business Management: Significant experience in small business management, including budgeting, financial analysis, P&L responsibility, and strategic planning to maximize profitability within a commercial construction context.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices relevant to interior commercial build-outs and renovations.
- Regulatory Understanding: A solid understanding of local building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), licensing requirements, and permitting processes relevant to commercial construction in Colorado.
- Licensing: Possess or be able to obtain a General Contractor's License.
