Staff Accountant – Momentum Enterprises

Framingham, Massachusetts

Backed by Arena Capital, we manage 22 dynamic businesses across New England and New York, including My Gym Children's Fitness Centers, Launch Entertainment Parks, Club Elevate, Retro Fitness, and Wimbledon Tennis and Pickleball Club. We also manage a diverse portfolio of real estate properties under The Newport Venture.

We are leveling up-and we're looking for an energetic, detail-loving number cruncher to join our finance team! If you geek out over clean reconciliations, dream in spreadsheets, and love the idea of helping family-focused businesses thrive, keep reading.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Keeping our books in tip-top shape with daily bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Processing accounts payable like a pro
  • Crushing monthly account reconciliations while supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Organizing and processing expense reports
  • Analyzing budgets to actuals, investigating those sneaky discrepancies
  • Navigating tax compliance, payments, and returns (yep, we do those too!)
  • Handling one-off projects that level-up the internal control environment
  • Working with a run-through-walls attitude to get the job done


What You'll Bring:

  • A sharp mind and love for numbers
  • Show up ready with strong organizational skills and attention to detail (seriously, we use a lot of spreadsheets!)
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or as a staff accountant is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace and a solid knowledge of various accounting platforms
  • Bonus points if you've had experience with multi-entity businesses!
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to explain financial stuff in plain English
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Must be local
