Core Responsibilities
- Manage large amounts of incoming calls and treat each caller with respect and empathy
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with clients through open and interactive communication
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using our firm’s case management software.
- Handle client’s stressful situations, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives, and properly direct calls to the appropriate attorney.
- Log customer interactions using our case management software.
- Scan and route documents to the appropriate case using our case management software
- Ask questions when unsure of our processes
- 1-3 years as a proven administrator/receptionist or alternatively, be highly organized, goal-oriented and willing to learn legalese to adapt to our industry.
- Legal experience is a huge bonus
- Arriving at work on time is important, i.e. 9:00am.
- Must proofread and correct documents – electronic and paper – before documents leave our office
- Empathetic and compassionate phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiarity with personal injury law and workers’ compensation law and practices is a bonus
- Client-oriented and ability to adapt/respond to different personalities of clients
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
