About This Position
The Recreation Building and Program Attendant (part-time) will assist with programs, classes, rentals, & special events. They will also assist other department staff members and interact with customers, vendors, and volunteers. Recreation programs and special events run throughout the year with varied hours depending on the event and weather. Hours are primarily evenings and weekends, although schedules vary according to the work indicators dictated by the recreation programs.

About This Position
The Recreation Building and Program Attendant (part-time) will assist with programs, classes, rentals, & special events. They will also assist other department staff members and interact with customers, vendors, and volunteers. Recreation programs and special events run throughout the year with varied hours depending on the event and weather. Hours are primarily evenings and weekends, although schedules vary according to the work indicators dictated by the recreation programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide building coverage for classes, programs, events, camps, and facility rentals, primarily during evenings and weekends
- Operate the front-desk and complete duties such as checking in guests, answering phones, and assisting guests
- Complete light computer work using recreation software, email, and data entry programs
- Assist the Recreation Program Coordinator with special events and camps
- Prepare and take down rooms and parks spaces for programs and events a
- Lift and move props, tables, chairs, PA systems, tents, full coolers, etc.
- Plan and lead class instruction when requested
- Assist with cleaning and organizing program spaces and supply storage areas
- Assist in entering new data information into software programs
- Assist with keeping records of recreation programs
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
- Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
- Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
