MITRE is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team of talent acquisition professionals who connect exceptional talent to MITRE's mission. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Experienced Hire Manager, this individual will own the full recruitment lifecycle and partner closely with hiring teams to meet their talent needs. Aligned to a specific business area, the Recruiter will manage searches from intake through pre-onboarding, source and engage qualified talent, advise hiring managers throughout the selection process, and deliver a high-quality candidate experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Own full lifecycle recruiting from intake and sourcing through interview, selection, offer, and pre-onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, talent needs, hiring priorities, and timelines.
- Develop and execute recruiting and sourcing approaches for assigned requisitions based on talent availability and hiring needs.
- Source and engage active and passive candidates using recruiting tools, professional networks, referrals, events, campaigns, and social platforms.
- Screen and assess candidates against position requirements and provide informed recommendations to hiring teams.
- Advise hiring managers on talent availability, candidate pipelines, interview and selection approaches, and recruiting timelines.
- Manage candidate pipelines and use recruiting data and market insights to identify challenges and adjust recruiting approaches.
- Provide regular updates on recruiting progress, pipeline health, and hiring challenges to hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership.
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and consistent engagement.
- Partner with recruiting coordinators on interview scheduling, candidate communication, and recruiting process execution.
- Lead offer discussions and support offer negotiations in partnership with hiring managers, HR, and compensation, as appropriate.
- Participate in recruiting events and represent MITRE to prospective candidates.
- Contribute to process improvements that strengthen recruiting efficiency and the candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing full lifecycle recruiting from intake through offer and close.
- Proven success managing and prioritizing a high-volume or complex requisition load.
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills, including experience identifying and engaging passive talent.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with hiring managers and provide consultative recruiting guidance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Experience using recruiting data and talent market information to guide recruiting approaches.
- Experience using applicant tracking and HCM systems.
- Ability to work independently and drive recruiting outcomes through collaboration and influence.
- This position requires a minimum of three days per week on-site.
- Experience recruiting within government contracting, FFRDCs, nonprofit organizations, or other mission-driven environments.
- Experience recruiting technical, engineering, cybersecurity, data, research, or other specialized talent.
- Experience recruiting candidates with active U.S. government security clearances and familiarity with government hiring practices and security clearance requirements is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing candidate pipeline health and flow, including sourcing effectiveness, conversion rates, time to hire, and candidate experience.
- Experience advising hiring managers on interviewing, candidate assessment, selection, and offer decisions.
- Experience with Workday and Phenom.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
