For our client, we are seeking a Junior Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. The position offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a Aerospace & Defense environment.

Location: Chantilly, VA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 – $200,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day program management activities for government contracts and task orders
  • Assist in developing and maintaining program documentation including schedules and program plans
  • Track program performance against cost, schedule, and quality metrics, preparing reports for government representatives
  • Monitor contract compliance with federal regulations and contract terms
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including finance and quality assurance
  • Participate in program reviews and customer meetings to ensure alignment
  • Help manage subcontractor performance and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Information Technology, or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in program/project coordination, preferably in federal government contracts
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in drafting professional documents
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and government contracting processes
