Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Glocomms is partnered with a leading Electrical Equipment Manufacturing organization seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure to lead the strategy, architecture, governance, and delivery of enterprise technology services across a complex hybrid environment. This individual will drive infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and service delivery initiatives while supporting manufacturing operations and business growth.













Infrastructure Strategy & Operations
  • Own the enterprise IT infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and modernization initiatives.
  • Lead hybrid infrastructure operations across on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Drive infrastructure performance, resiliency, and optimization across networking, compute, storage, and virtualization.

Cloud & Manufacturing Technology

  • Lead cloud adoption, migrations, governance, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, and operational technology environments through IT/OT integration.
  • Ensure scalable and secure infrastructure supporting business-critical applications and operations.

Cybersecurity, Identity & Endpoint Management

  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives spanning IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, endpoint security, and network security.
  • Oversee Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Intune, MFA, Conditional Access, and endpoint management.
  • Strengthen infrastructure security, operational risk management, and ransomware resilience.

Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure effective IT service delivery through ITIL and ITSM best practices.
  • Own SLA performance, KPIs, uptime, major incident management, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead service operations across incident, problem, change, asset, and configuration management.

Leadership, Vendor & Financial Management

  • Manage technology vendors, strategic partnerships, contracts, licensing, and service providers.
  • Lead infrastructure budgets, financial planning, and technology investment decisions.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams while partnering with executive leadership on digital transformation initiatives.













Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of managing information systems, including 5-7 years of progressive leafership experience.
  • Strong background in hybrid cloud, enterprise infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, Entra ID, Intune, and modern endpoint management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management frameworks.
  • Proven success leading cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or operational technology environments.
  • Ability to manage budgets, vendors, strategic roadmaps, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and business partnership skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
