Network Administrator - Network Ops
Job Summary
Our client, a leading retail provider, is seeking a Network Administrator to join their team. This role is responsible for deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise data networks, including LAN and WAN environments. The ideal candidate will support medium-sized data centers and large retail network environments while managing Cisco/Juniper network infrastructure and network monitoring systems.

Core Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise data network devices and systems, including Cisco and Juniper switches and routers
- Perform system configuration, hardening, troubleshooting, and interface troubleshooting for network infrastructure
- Configure and manage VLANs, trunks, and switched network environments while ensuring network security standards are maintained
- Monitor and manage network elements using network management tools, ensuring devices are actively monitored and maintained
- Utilize SolarWinds and other network management platforms to proactively identify, investigate, and resolve potential network issues
- Develop and implement monitoring and measurement systems, including usage data collection and reporting
- Create and maintain network policies, procedures, standards, and documentation aligned with enterprise goals
- Support data and voice technology solutions that align with operational and security objectives
- Recommend improvements to network operations and systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and controls
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- 5+ years of experience supporting Cisco IOS and/or Juniper network environments
- Strong experience with Cisco routers, switches, and enterprise networking concepts
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN environments
- Experience with VLANs, trunking, switched networks, and network security concepts
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds
- Strong understanding of networking best practices and industry standards
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
- CCNA certification or higher preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of SD-WAN and cloud networking environments
- Familiarity with VMware and distributed switching technologies
- Experience supporting retail technology environments
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $42.00 and $52.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
