Software Engineer - DeFi

Salary is 250k to 350k + bonus
2 days remote and 3 days onsite

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a high-performance trading technology team building advanced systems for decentralized financial markets.

This role focuses on developing the technology behind modern DeFi trading strategies, combining software engineering, blockchain infrastructure, and financial markets. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, high-performance systems from traditional finance, electronic trading, fintech, or large-scale technology environments and be excited to apply those skills to the evolving digital asset ecosystem.

You will work across the full trading technology stack, including blockchain integrations, execution systems, strategy tooling, infrastructure, and production monitoring, helping build reliable systems that operate directly within decentralized markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software using Rust, Python, and other modern technologies.

• Build and enhance systems that interact with blockchain networks, decentralized protocols, smart contracts, and on-chain data sources.

• Develop trading infrastructure, execution workflows, analytics tools, and monitoring solutions supporting DeFi strategies.

• Optimize systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and real-time execution.

• Build integrations with blockchain protocols and support evaluation of new market opportunities.

• Collaborate with engineers, quantitative researchers, traders, and external protocol teams to develop innovative trading solutions.

• Debug and improve complex systems across distributed architectures, APIs, blockchain infrastructure, and production environments.

• Take ownership of projects from design and development through deployment and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with proficiency in Rust, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.

• Experience building scalable, reliable, and performance-focused production systems.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and engineering best practices.

• Experience working in environments where performance, reliability, and technical excellence are critical.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex technical challenges.

• Experience from traditional finance, electronic trading, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, investment banks, fintech, or leading technology companies.

• Experience developing financial systems, trading platforms, data-intensive applications, or large-scale infrastructure is highly valued.

• Familiarity with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, DeFi protocols, or digital asset markets is preferred.
