What The Day Will Look Like
As the Senior Manager of Corporate Sustainability, you will support the development and implementation of our global CS strategy. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that sustainability initiatives are integrated into all aspects of the business.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving sustainability goals, managing sustainability reporting including Aon’s annual Impact Report, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will report into the Head of Strategic Finance & Corporate Sustainability.

Pay Transparency Laws
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130,000 - $160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, New York. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

What The Day Will Look Like

The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving sustainability goals, managing sustainability reporting including Aon’s annual Impact Report, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will report into the Head of Strategic Finance & Corporate Sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and execute our sustainability strategy in alignment with our parent company goals
- Lead climate initiatives across the organization, including ongoing measurement and management of Aon’s global greenhouse gas emissions and related emissions reduction efforts
- Collaborate with teams such as communications, real estate, controllership, operations, account management and procurement to integrate sustainability into business processes
- Support client and investor requests, including client calls, and respond to contracts, questionnaires and RFPs related to corporate sustainability
- Manage sustainability reporting and ensure compliance with global and regional related regulations and frameworks including but not limited to SASB, TCFD and GRI
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership
- Engage with stakeholders, including colleagues, clients and suppliers, to support Aon’s and stakeholder’s broader sustainability goals
- Develop clear and compelling materials for the CS Steering Committee and Net Zero Committee in addition to other executive meetings, and participate in and/or lead internal working groups
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices and deliver useful insights to support strategic planning for environmental, social & governance initiatives
- Oversee CS questionnaire and rating indices engagement, tracking, consistency and excellence (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis, MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics etc.)
- 7+ years of relevant experience, with 3-5+ years of corporate sustainability-related experience at a large public company preferred
- Strong understanding of corporate sustainability (CS) and environmental, social, and governance global landscape
- Experience in GHG emissions accounting, sustainability audits/assurance, and ESG/CS reporting required (e.g., GHG Protocol, CDP, SASB, GRI)
- Ability to analyze data and generate insights to drive sustainability initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with different teams; comfortable with engaging directly with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrates good judgement, enabling the ability to work independently and be proactive in a dynamic environment
- Experience balancing multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail and accountability to high standards of excellence
- Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
