Location: Remote/Work in US EST

About Your Role

As the Social Media Intern, you'll dedicate 20 hours a week to assist with the design and production of the publication’s four social channels. You will use your impeccable communication and organizational skills, background in research and reporting, and passion for content creation to garner a following and ultimately, increase publication subscriptions.

Responsibilities

• Produce and schedule original content for Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and LinkedIn based on trending topics and social media analytics
• Research and report content for editorial-style social posts - Design on-brand images and graphics
• Generate short, witty content captions and strategic hashtags
• Contribute ideas for article promotion across social channels
• Brainstorm call-to-action campaigns to encourage subscriptions
  
  

Requirements

• Must be studying journalism or a related field
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Have a basic understanding of Canva or PicMonkey
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple projects, and meet critical deadlines

Hourly Rate/Salary: College credit
