Quality Assurance Engineer

Description

Secure Passage is looking for a QA Engineer to join the team that own the quality of our cloud-based platform and mobile applications. The role focuses on defining test coverage, building test automation and ensuring each release meets our standards for functionality, performance, reliability and security. You will work across web, mobile and backend services, partnering with engineering teams to prevent issues early, validate end-to-end behavior and improve testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with a distributed, agile development team
• Define and maintain functional, regression, and performance test coverage
• Build and maintain automated tests (Ghost Inspector, Cypress, Selenium, etc.)
• Perform manual exploratory testing for new features
• Validate service interactions across web, mobile, and backend components
• Query logs and databases to verify results and support troubleshooting
• Support CI/CD workflows with test data, test harnesses, and automated checks
• Participate in story refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• Professional QA experience in a software product environment
• 3+ years of hands-on testing (automation + manual)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Comfortable querying logs and application data stores
• Familiarity with GitLab or GitHub
• US work authorization without sponsorship is required

Required Skills

• Experience testing mobile apps
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP cloud environments
• Exposure to load/performance testing tools
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Interest in safety and security products/systems
