GSM-built equipment is on every US Navy submarine. GSM has 5-axis machining up to 33ft long or 82in diameter and welding up to 35,000lbs.

About The Role

What You'll Do
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with product design and operations teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues.
- Perform cost analysis and recommend solutions to reduce waste and improve cost-efficiency.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Implement and oversee the use of advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Monitor production performance and recommend improvements to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Train and provide guidance to production staff on new equipment and process changes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and quality assurance standards.
