Job Overview

Hoosier Heroes is hiring a well-rounded Trim Carpenter / Drywall Finisher to join our fast-paced Field Operations team. This full-time role is ideal for experienced tradespeople who thrive in residential remodeling and repair work. You'll be responsible for trim carpentry, drywall patching and finishing, trim installation, painting, and general punch list work. This hybrid role requires high-level craftsmanship, strong communication, and a self-starting mindset to get the job done right — the first time.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete builder punch list tasks including trim carpentry, drywall patching, painting and caulking.
• Install, adjust, and caulk baseboards, shoe mold, door casings, and crown molding.
• Handle minor framing adjustments, door adjustments, door hardware replacements, and light handyman tasks.
• Perform drywall repairs (nail pops, cracks, water damage) and bonus if can do texture matching.
• Prime and paint repaired areas with professional finish standards.
• Communicate clearly with office staff and clients to ensure satisfaction and clarity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site from start to finish.
• Travel locally to job sites; mileage/gas supplement provided.
  
  

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of combined experience in residential trim carpentry and drywall finishing.
• Experienced in cutting, fitting, and installing trim, molding, and framing.
• Proficient in patching, taping, sanding, painting, (bonus: texture matching).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-end finishes.
• Must have reliable transportation (truck preferred) and own tools.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
• Customer service mindset and communication skills.
• Bonus: Light plumbing or electrical knowledge is a plus.

Schedule

• Full-Time: Monday-Friday
• Occasional Saturdays based on workload
