Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all aspects of logistics, scheduling, and coordination. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational ability, and advanced technical proficiency to manage workflow, solve problems, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and monitor the flow of goods, materials, and information to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, vendors, and clients to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Track, analyze, and manage logistics data using systems such as Oracle, Smartsheets, and Excel to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
- Leverage VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and advanced Excel formulas to analyze data and identify operational trends.
- Identify and address potential problems, implementing creative solutions to keep operations on schedule.
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet competing deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and meet organizational goals.
- Prepare and distribute documentation, reports, and status updates related to logistics activities.
- 2+ years of logistics, coordination, or operations experience preferred; experience with data analysis tools is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in changing environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency with Oracle, Smartsheets, Microsoft Suite to include Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and other logistics or data management systems.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- This position is office-based and involves frequent use of computers, communication tools, and logistics software to coordinate schedules, track shipments, and analyze data.
- Work is often fast-paced, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, project management, vendors, and field staff is a core part of the role.
- Standard business hours apply, but some flexibility may be required during peak periods, urgent projects, or time-sensitive shipments.
- The environment encourages professional communication, problem-solving, and process improvement, with opportunities to propose and implement efficiency solutions.
