Position Overview
We are seeking an Interior Designer I with a minimum of 1–3 years of professional experience to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Interior Design to support and contribute to projects through all phases of design and documentation. You’ll play an active role in preparing design drawings, developing material and furniture specifications, and assembling presentation materials that reflect the project vision. You will assist with managing the interiors portions of multiple projects through all phases, from concept through completion. You will assist in coordinating with consultants, vendors, and internal staff to help ensure that project tasks are completed accurately, on schedule, and in alignment with design intent. You will contribute to providing high-quality design and client service, assist the Director of Interior Design and Project Managers as needed, and participate in client communications when appropriate. You will collaborate with team members across multiple offices through digital platforms.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Interior Design with all phases of interiors projects, including space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, specifications, and construction administration.
- Prepare drawings, renderings, material and finish selections, furniture specifications, and presentation materials to help communicate design intent.
- Support project coordination with Architects, Project Managers, consultants, and vendors.
- Help maintain project documentation, track progress, and assist with schedules and budgets under the guidance of the Director.
- Participate in client presentations and internal team reviews as appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members across multiple offices through digital platforms.
- Conduct research on products, finishes, and furniture appropriate to each project.
- Knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and trends.
- Knowledge of architectural building systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design
- 1–3 years of professional interior design experience.
- Experience in commercial, healthcare, municipal, recreation/wellness, multifamily, or industrial projects preferred.
- Interior Designer registration and/or LEED credential a plus.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Methodical and thorough approach to work.
- Organized and effective at multitasking and prioritization.
- A great team player with a desire to show initiative
