Job Summary: This is an exciting role in an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. We are seeking a full-time creative and detail-oriented Product UI Designer who can independently deliver polished, user-focused interfaces for our digital products. You’ll work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers – taking concepts from wireframes through to pixel-perfect implementation – while contributing to our design system and ensuring consistency across platforms.
Responsibilities
As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$118,500—$145,000 USD

We are seeking a full-time creative and detail-oriented Product UI Designer who can independently deliver polished, user-focused interfaces for our digital products. You’ll work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers – taking concepts from wireframes through to pixel-perfect implementation – while contributing to our design system and ensuring consistency across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, visually engaging UI for web and mobile products, balancing creativity with usability
- Collaborate with UX, Product, and Engineering to translate requirements into effective visual solutions
- Contribute to and help evolve our design system, ensuring brand consistency and scalability.
- Produce detailed design specs and assets for seamless developer handoff
- Participate actively in design critiques, offering and integrating feedback to strengthen designs
- Partner with developers to review builds and maintain design quality
- Stay current on UI trends, patterns, and tools to continuously improve design output
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 2 years of UI design experience in a product environment
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools
- Strong grasp of typography, color theory, grid systems, and responsive design
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating in cross-functional teams
- Portfolio demonstrating well-executed UI design work for digital products
- Familiarity with motion design or prototyping tools
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge to support developer collaboration
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
- Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- This position is located in our Torrance facility.
