JOB SUMMARY
As a Mechanical Designer and Drafter in Plymouth, MN, you may: design complex machinery and assemblies including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and gearboxes; contribute to engineering design through conceptualization and calculations; participate in design reviews with cross-collaborative teams including purchasing, electrical systems, and project engineering; develop and supervise test procedures, including troubleshooting and documentation; drive continuous improvement to ensure alignment and issue resolution, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks required
- Experience with Ansys, MathCAD, Solidworks Simulation, or analysis software
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge in motors, actuators, gearing, and hydraulics preferred
- Exposure to mechanical equipment/systems and/or a general aptitude for hands-on work a plus
- Capable of working independently and as a team member
- Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
- Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Desire to work on a variety of projects
