Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components and equipment. Must be knowledgeable in the principles and techniques commonly used in the electrical field, including programming, troubleshooting, PLCs, inverters, and single loop controllers. The candidate must be able to provide training and guidance to general mechanics as needed

- Shift: First shift
- Hours: 5:00 AM – until completion
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with weekend support as requested
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components and equipment. Must be knowledgeable in the principles and techniques commonly used in the electrical field, including programming, troubleshooting, PLCs, inverters, and single loop controllers. The candidate must be able to provide training and guidance to general mechanics as needed
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive project assignment from the supervisor and respond to trouble calls from other departments.
- Troubleshoot relay logic.
- Draw and interpret schematics and compile documentation for complex projects.
- Projects must be completed in a safe and timely fashion.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical situations to determine process failure, needs, and improvements.
- Write simple PLC program applications.
- Design, program, and troubleshoot simple PLC systems.
- Be able to effectively train technicians at all other levels to perform the task successfully and safely.
- Consistent effort to stay current with modern technology, equipment, and regulations.
- Maintain electrical operations for off-shift production systems – may require giving instructions via telephone conversations.
- Complete assignments in a timely fashion
- Report to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job.
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others.
- Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor or department manager.
- Specify and order parts and supplies related to job needs in a cost-effective manner.
The Ideal Candidate will have the Following Qualifications
- Must be able to interpret electrical and mechanical situations to determine process failure, needs, and improvements.
- Must be able to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Must be able to use test equipment, including but not limited to DMMs, amp meters, and megger meters.
- Must be able to design, install, repair, replace and maintain motors, drives, controls, starters, lights, power, communication, PLC, and other related systems.
- Know the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the electrician’s trade.
- Know the hazards and safety precautions of all procedures.
- Know to diagnose and remedy maintenance problems.
- Knowledge of AC/DC drive programming
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code
- Knowledgeable in the use of DOS, Windows, RS Logix, RSLinks, and other supplied software
- Knowledgeable of PID control
- A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience, PLC, and food manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual a plus – English/Spanish

- Must be able to stand on feet on a concrete floor for 4 hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds at least 50 feet.
- Must be able to work in a 50-degree environment for 4 hours at a time.
- Employees must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment at Monogram Foods
- This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
