Our facilities company is seeking a flexible, organized, and client-focused Assistant Events Manager to support event management at a prestigious college campus. This role will assist with overseeing the janitorial and maintenance operations for all athletic facilities, including the arena and three other athletic buildings. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can motivate a team, work with and collaborate with other leaders and the client and make independent decisions to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and client satisfaction.

Our facilities company is seeking a flexible, organized, and client-focused Assistant Events Manager to support event management at a prestigious college campus. This role will assist with overseeing the janitorial and maintenance operations for all athletic facilities, including the arena and three other athletic buildings. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can motivate a team, work with and collaborate with other leaders and the client and make independent decisions to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate janitorial staff for event preparation and cleanup.
- Help oversee a team of approximately 20 people on a daily basis, across an arena and three other athletic buildings.
- Conduct facility inspections before, during, and after events to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Handle computer-based tasks such as organizing work orders, managing payroll, and responding to emails.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide feedback and coaching to staff, and inspire them to meet high performance standards.
- Plan and oversee comprehensive pre-season cleanings for stadiums and fields.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience is a priority.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, motivating, and leading a team.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in event management or a related field, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- A high level of commitment to quality standards and client satisfaction.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
