Position Summary
The Education Specialist, Allied Health, plays an integral role in leading the growth and success of ECU Health's Allied Health professionals.
The ideal candidate will drive professional development initiatives, foster collaboration, and elevate the learning experience through innovative strategies.
This innovative leader is committed to advancing clinical excellence by leading professional development activities, scientific inquiry, and strategic practice transitions.
This role is pivotal in fostering an environment of continuous learning and evidence-based practice, ensuring that our healthcare professionals and students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Master's degree required (Master's in Adult Education preferred)
Minimum Of Five Years Of Health Care Experience.
Including at least two years of adult education experience required.
Healthcare related certification required within three years of employment.

- Design, implement and evaluate professional development programs aligned with organizational goals and strategic plan.
- Conducts needs assessments to identify skill gaps and prioritize continuing professional development needs including serving as a lead for allied health continuing education credits
- Leads research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
- Implements strategies for seamless transitions to practice.
- Leads and/or participates in practice changes through influence as a leader.
- Leads and/or participates in committees, programs, and shared governance councils.
