We are seeking a Project Manager-Supply Chain in Knoxville, TN. The Project Manager will work closely with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to successfully execute projects and goals that support key business outcomes and optimize the sourcing, supply chain, and procurement efforts of the Marine Division. This role requires an experienced and results-driven professional who is able to work cross-functionally and in collaboration with the business units. The project manager will have subject matter expertise in project processes and process improvement plans.

We are seeking a Project Manager-Supply Chain in Knoxville, TN. The Project Manager will work closely with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to successfully execute projects and goals that support key business outcomes and optimize the sourcing, supply chain, and procurement efforts of the Marine Division. This role requires an experienced and results-driven professional who is able to work cross-functionally and in collaboration with the business units. The project manager will have subject matter expertise in project processes and process improvement plans.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Project Initiation: Alignment with sponsor, stakeholders, and leadership to define and manage scope, deliverables, and resources.
- Project Planning, Review, and Execution: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company values and goals. Develop project timelines, plans, and outcomes.
- Team Management and Leadership: Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams for project deliverables. Effectively communicate throughout life cycle of the project between team members, leadership, and the supply base.
- Cost Savings Tracking and Management: Data gathering and tracking of project and cost savings initiatives. Collaboration with accounting, engineering, manufacturing, continuous improvement, suppliers, and leadership is required to track and report project deliverables.
- Performance Reporting and Analytics: Track project progress against KPIs and deliver regular updates. Analyze data and provide insights to optimize project performance and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to best practices within the organization. Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support overall project success.
- Change Management: Support the organization’s initiatives by assisting in improvement goals, including communication and follow up to ensure success adoption of project success.
- Project Follow Up and Auditing: Follow up and audit project goals and outcomes for long term success.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with preferred major in one of the following: Engineering; Operations; Supply Chain; Manufacturing; Analytics
- 3+ years of experience preferred in project management capacity. Supply chain and/or commodity-based knowledge is preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including proven ability to independently plan, manage, and track deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills required, including strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Power BI experience is a plus.
- Self-starter with strong skills to motivate and drive project goals.
- High attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to both work within a team and individually.
- Some travel may be required (20%)
- Must be able to work within an office environment and factory setting, as needed.
