We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist with clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment. This is for the Physical Medical and Oncology Department.
Location: Glen Burnie, MD
Role: Certified Medical Assistant
Schedule: Typical hours are Monday–Friday, daytime shifts. No nights, weekends, or holidays. 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Clinical Duties:

What You'll Do
Clinical Duties:
- Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, respirations, pulse, height, and weight
- Perform 12-lead ECGs and pulse oximetry measurements
- Room patients, record medical history, medications, and allergies
- Administer immunizations and injections per provider orders
- Assist with suture removal and minor procedures
- Perform blood glucose testing via glucometer
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during examinations
- Collect and process urine specimens (UA and clean catch)
- Make follow-up phone calls to patients regarding care plans and results
- Manage telephone triage and route patient inquiries appropriately
- Complete and submit authorization forms and assist with insurance verification
- Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests in coordination with providers
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification (required)
- 1+ year of experience in an adult outpatient setting preferred
- Experience in Physical medicine or Oncology is a plus
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems EPIC REQUIRED
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/ BLS, Physical, PPD, MMR, Color Blind Testing, FITT Mask Testing, Current Season Flu vaccination REQUIRED
