We are a private practice comprised of 20 physicians and 12 APPs. Our mission is to provide quality cancer care to the patients in our local community. We are affiliated with The US Oncology Network, which is one of the nation’s largest networks of integrated, community-based oncology practices that are dedicated to advancing high-quality, evidence-based cancer care. Our board-certified physicians in Hematology and Medical Oncology, Palliative Care Medicine, and breast surgery have trained and held faculty positions in nationally and internationally recognized academic centers. Our physicians have extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant diseases and disorders of the blood and breast.

We have an immediate opening for an Human Resources Generalist II.

About The Role

Medical Oncology Hematology Consultants (MOHC) is currently seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role serves as a strategic partner to both management and employees, supporting a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, and engagement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about fostering a positive and legally compliant workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, compensation, and interview strategies.
  • Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for qualified candidates.
  • Extend job offers and manage pre-onboarding processes including background checks and license verification.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and assist with benefits education.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, dispute resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Lead investigations into complex employee relations matters and provide consultative guidance to management on resolution strategies
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, wage & hour, harassment).
  • Administer leave of absence programs in accordance with regulations and company policies.

Performance & Talent Management

  • Support performance review cycles, talent assessments, and succession planning.
  • Advise management on compensation strategies and salary administration.
  • Assist in writing and updating job descriptions and requisitions.

Training & Engagement

  • Design and facilitate training programs tailored to practice needs; coach managers on leadership and communication skills.
  • Conduct exit interviews and summarize findings for leadership.
  • Manage employee engagement surveys and facilitate follow-up action planning.

Systems & Reporting

  • Provide support and troubleshooting for HRIS systems (e.g., Workday).
  • Maintain accurate records and logs related to recruitment and HR activities.
  • Analyze workforce trends and provide strategic insights to leadership

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and influence leadership decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
