Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with 5+ years of experience and background in diesel, cranes and hydraulics to join our team. The role will focus on performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of heavy construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and cranes.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine service checks including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid inspections.
- Maintain accurate service logs, parts usage records, and detailed repair reports.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies while using appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and equipment operators to resolve equipment concerns efficiently.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Prior diesel mechanic experience required.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals.
- ASE or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
