You will be responsible for managing and ensuring the accurate and timely payment of invoices. Verify the accuracy of charges, handle disputes, and ensure compliance with payment terms.

Responsibilities of a Freight Payables Specialist:

• Invoice Verification and Processing: Review freight invoices, verifying the accuracy of charges, applying appropriate discounts, and ensuring they are processed correctly.
• Dispute Management: Investigate and resolve disputes with invoices regarding incorrect charges, overpayments, or other discrepancies.
• Payment Processing: Manage the payment of invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment to carriers.
• Compliance: Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.
• Communication: Respond to vendor questions and inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
• Data Entry and Reporting :Maintain accurate records of freight payments, create reports, and analyze spend data.
  
  
  

Qualifications of a Freight Payables Specialist:

• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions within parameters of established policy and program guidelines.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
