Duties
- Provide critical support to pregnant women and families with children under the age of 5.
- Conduct home visits to assess the needs of families, offer guidance, and provide family-centered, strength-based interventions directed at establishing a trusting relationship within families to optimize parent/child relationships.
- Work directly with Spanish-speaking and English-speaking families with young children to provide family-centered, strength-based interventions directed at establishing a trusting relationship within the family to optimize parent/child relationships.
- Provide curriculum-based prenatal health and early childhood health and development education to families to promote the child’s well-being and safety.
- Assess additional needs or crisis situations and make referrals to other community resources to support the overall health, safety, and well-being of the family.
- Maintain a caseload of families by coordinating meetings directly with them in a variety of formats to meet them where they are, including by phone, virtual video chat or in-person.
- Thoroughly and objectively document the functioning status of families and report data within program deadlines.
- Two years of providing services to and/ or engaging families with infants and toddlers in services. Must have experience working with families with multiple needs.
- Bachelors degree in Human Services, Child Development, Education or related field, with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, college coursework preferred.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Training.
- Preference given to applicants with Growing Great Kids Curriculum or HFA core trainings.
