Summary/Objective
Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.
Essential Functions
- Support the DTL Engineering team in all aspects of Target System’s design, analysis, and test to include requirements development, production, qualification, integration, and flight test.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of experts across multiple technical areas to develop engineering analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met on time
- Providing expert advice to product and component failure investigations and review boards
- Represent the interests of the customer in Working Groups and Technical Interchange Meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field with strong preference for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
- 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / project
- Works independently and/or leads sub-teams, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems
- Active DoD Secret to TS security clearance
- Strong preference for experience working on large scale solid rocket motors, bulkhead initiators, ordnance modules, Flight Termination Systems, motor cases, aging & surveillance, muzzle design, and static fire testing.
- Experience with transportation modes and impacts for rocket motors
- Familiarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processes
- Experience supporting MDA Flight Test, analysis, and review
- Experience with the development of rocket motors, ground support launch equipment, and reentry vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks
- Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
